Ritchie Simpson continued to search frantically for the connection out of the computer and back to his body as he begged John to explain what he meant by saying “Goodbye.��

Had John disconnected him? He knew John’s sense of humor wasn’t the lightest, especially after Newcastle drove them all a bit insane, but that felt too far even for him. Nah, he’d probably just gotten himself a bit lost in the wave of energy he’d experienced in the Tongues of Fire network and was accidentally looking for his body in the wrong spot.

He pulled himself back and let his mental connection to the digital world expand outward, probing the rest of the machine for the connection. He knew he was in the right system, so as long as he looked thoroughly he’d definitely fi—

Everything flashed a surge of blinding white and then was replaced by pure darkness. He thought he screamed, but he couldn’t hear his own voice. Couldn’t even feel his own thoughts. Trapped in one single instant that stretched for indeterminable eons. Then, eventually (or was it immediately?), awareness began to trickle back.

He was still in the computer, though it felt… different, somehow. His thoughts still weren’t entirely in order. The first possible hints towards his location he found were the sound voices trickling through from the outside world. Voices he didn’t recognize. Young voices.

“I’m happy to help, Tuck, but I’m not really sure what you expect me to do here. You’re way better than me at this computer stuff than me.”

“By all means, feel free to keep complimenting me, but this has been frying my brain, man. I got this thing secondhand, and the system should be quite powerful, but there’s something using up a ton of its processing and I can’t figure out what. I was hoping you could do your ‘enter into the computer’ thing and see if you see anything.”

#okay so for people who don’t know what’s going on with the DC side:#in John Constantine: Hellblazer there’s this old friend of Constantine called Richie who uses “quantum magic” to inteface with computers #and Constantine asks him to find the base of the Resurrection Crusaders (a religious group that’s an antagonist of that part of the comic)#which he does do. but while looking into the Tongues of Fire subgroup he encounters a thing of energy that burns his body to a crisp #but his mind is still in the computer unaware of that #and constantine doesn’t know how to explain that to him so he just… doesn’t.#and unplugs the machine as like a mercy kill ish thing #in the comic he sorta survived in the network for a time longer #but instead this idea was more like he was trapped in the memory banks of the computer #which eventually made its way into Tucker’s hands and led to him and Team Phantom meeting #he’d probably count as a ghost but the situation would certainly be unusual for both sides #dp x dc #dpxdc #dc x dp #dcxdp #danny phantom x dc #danny phantom x dc crossover #dp x hellblazer #dpxdc john constantine #dp x dc prompt #dpxdc prompt #dc x dp prompt #dcxdp prompt #oh also. just gonna kinda sidestep how he helped Constantine out later in the original. I guess John worked something else out this time.#or maybe that event could be delayed so Ritchie can still show up (perhaps with Team Phantom’s aid too though…)

Scooby Doo, and Sonic Too!

A Sconic crossover I've been fiddling with for fun! My favorite designs are definitely Scooby and Velma. I was trying to really make the characters feel accurate to the Sonic style while still being recognizable, but they definitely need one or two redesigns to work. Still, I'm glad I did this! It was a cool exercise!

does anyone have any lying down setups for drawing/painting/ANYTHING else lol

what I am learning from my imp today is that if I am lying flat I can get my bpm down to 75 but the moment I sit up it goes to 95, and the lowest I can get it while sitting up is 85

I think if I had more activity options while lying down that were not Be On Phone, I would be less bored and therefore do less overexerting myself in order to simply relieve boredom (problem that I have frequently)

#pls dont be like 85 isnt so bad! or whatever the numbers are numbers that show me how hard my heart is working simply to be upright #by not being upright i can be gentler on my heart and body is the point #and conserve energy etc. to avoid crashes #sick

This is a piece about chronic fatigue although the original idea i had for it drifted a bit as soon as I started coloring the linear #(i really enjoy shading and lighting things and got a bit carried away here but i stand by my choice because this is my favorite thing #that i've ever drawn)#anyways. i often feel especially lately with school being back in season that my bones are leaden with this sort of. weariness. theyre heav #it weighs on our mental health and energy a lot and although there's a couple of reasons we have been given for it #that doesn't remove the fact that this is still a thing that affects us in a very real way day to day although we are good at masking it.#often i come home to find that i do not have the physical mental or creative energy to work on things i really want to #especially project: nexus which i feel extra bad about even though i can't help it because i just started it so recently #it is a mild to moderate struggle to make it day to day and i just. wanted to represent this somehow #my original concept for this was a skeleton with some black goop gunk whatever leaking from its joints #but as i started adding the cracks and coloring them gold (a personal touch; kintsugi is a concept that is very dear to us)#i realized that the focus here was less on the condition itself and more on the body that it afflicts.#so i put it into a spotlight.#ironic i know since very little people acknowledge this irl or even know it exists at all but i added rim lighting. I added color gradients #I colored the lineart and made it all fancy and even added a flare for the head to get the point across that even at its core; disability i #a performance. this is not implying that disabilities are fake in fact this is the opposite of that. i wanted to show that with disabilitie #especially i think in my personal opinion the invisible ones #we are all masking at least a little bit during the vast majority of the day. humans are social creatures and it is only when we are alone #or with someone we deeply trust where we allow ourselves to be who we truly are without fear and even then that can be rare #so i wanted to show this bit of the soul in as broad a limelight as i could. idk this is a really abstract piece and i dont know if anyone #will even get it but it matters to me at least. and even though we've been largely bedridden for the past week i think that's okay #we will get it figured out. all of us. okay? okay. i love you. i fucking love you. we are going to fucking make it #(also the xes over the eyes are because i thought they looked cool they have no deeper meaning at least i think they dont #actually i think they do but i cant put it into words idk. adhd is when you shoot for the moon but you forgot the rocket fuel and by the time you realize it everyones already on the moon and then you panic and crash into the sun and it explodes

#my meds stopped working and i didnt know thats something that can fucking happen apparently???#like i knew eventually my body can get used to medicine that the effect kind of dulls but for some reason this time around i thought #that my body just decided to become lazier since the meds were already working anyway. cuz thats the thing as soon as smth is made #easier for me even if its the thing thats supposed to make the disability less disabling i get too relaxed and end up fucking up anyway #so i assumed my fucking cells worked the same way LMAO. they still technically work like i can feel my energy spike when it kicks in #but everything else like focus and memory went down and i thought oh so its just a me problem then. my habits are getting worse #even though ive been doing everything the same like setting reminders checking my schedule. hell ive been setting MORE reminders #to make up for the memory thing and i didnt even realize i just knew i had to compensate since it feels like my memory is getting #worse again. and i only figured this out bc my brother showed me an icecreamsandwich video with him talking about the EXACT FUCKING #THING IM GOING THRU WORD FOR WORD #i have to bring this up with my doctor next week so maybe i have to take different meds. i wonder if this will be a recurring thing #i guess one thing that hasnt changed is that im still slow as hell and stuff only comes to me 5 hours after the fact #its 6 in the morning and i only JUST realized that the word froyo is probably short for frozen yogurt #yapping #adhd

#chronic illness #chronic fatigue #adhd #not me slowly realizing that my energy levels are not in fact normal #took me 17 years to figure out that being in pain all the time wasn’t normal #of course it’s gonna take longer for me to find out that most people can do Multiple Big Things #and also #there’s this whole physical disabilities VS neurodivergencies that seems to have taken root in the disability community #which firstly I think is dumb because from what I’ve seen of chronic depression it acts a whole lot like chronic fatigue #and the brain is part of the body #and neurological disorders can absolutely be dehabilitating #driving wedges between these communities doesn’t help fucking anyone #especially when working together means more activism and pushing for resources and accommodations for everyone #but also because it tends to erase the people with both #because having both means that they stack onto eachother and make things even harder #my disability experience is fundamentally effected by my adhd #to focus on solely the physical stuff ignores just how much harder it is to have both #and really invalidates
